Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15th 1960) is an American actor. Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actor. Bassett was born in New York New York and raised by an aunt living in Winston-Salem North Carolina. As Bassett was around five She and her sister relocated to St. Petersburg, Florida to stay with their mother who was been divorced from her father. Bassett was in high school and, saw John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men with James Earl Jones and she made the decision to pursue acting. When she graduated of Yale University New Haven Connecticut in 1980, with an undergraduate degree with a major in African American Studies, she was able to obtain an MA (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance met her at Yale and, in 1997 they tied the knot. Qualification: B.A. degree in African-American studies, 1980, Master in Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama School: Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (seventh grade) Azalea Middle School (eighth and ninth grade) Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett has been cast in one the leading roles of Ramonda in the action-adventure movie, i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
